Frequently Asked Questions
What is the standard turnaround time for custom apparel orders?
We typically require a 2 week turnaround time for custom printed t-shirts. Digital Printing is 1-2 weeks depending on how many shirts we will be printing. Embroidery requires a minimum of 2 weeks turnaround time but may take up to 3 weeks depending on the complexity of the order.
Turnaround time estimates are based on all artwork being complete and t-shirt sizes / styles being finalized before the countdown starts. Please allow more time if you need custom artwork created.
I need my order done ASAP! Do you offer rush service?
Absolutely! Cincy Apparel specializes in quick turnaround times and emergency orders. Our company has successfully printed thousands of shirts at a moments notice. Please give us a call at 513-451-5000 so that we can discuss the specifics of your rush order.
I want the same graphic on 2-3 different styles of garment? Can you do that?
Totally! As long as the same screen can be used (no changes in placement) we should be able to accommodate your different style of garments. For example, the front of a hooded sweatshirt and a t-shirt have the same placement. Therefore, we can use the same screen and you wouldn’t have any additional charges.
How about ink color changes?
Sure, you will just pay a color change fee of $15 per color. This fee covers the time / cost of physically changing over a screen to your secondary ink color. In certain cases, we won’t be able to change the ink color. For instance, going from Red to White may produce an off white / pink color but Red to Black will work fine. See your account manager if you have any questions about ink color changes.
Can I bring in my own t-shirts in for you to print on?
While we would love to accommodate every order, we do not allow our customers to submit blank garments for printing. We can not guarantee that your store purchased garments will be compatible with our inks and equipment. Cincy Apparel has established relationships with several distributors of garments. We can often source garments cheaper that you can buy them in a retail store. Please contact our sales team at 513-451-5000 for more information.
How big can you print my design?
Our maximum image size is 14 x 16 for screen printing and digital direct to garment printing. At typical adult shirt artwork is 12 inches wide and a youth shirt is 10 inches wide. We typically do not print over a seam.
That being said, we always like to push the creative envelope. Give us a call at 513-451-5000 to discuss the specific needs of your project.
Can I see the first shirt off of the press before they’re all printed? How about a photo?
While we do offer press proofs for an additional fee, it is typically not cost effective for smaller runs.
For larger runs, we absolutely recommend a press proof. Colors may slightly differ between computer monitors, Pantone swatches, and plastisol inks. We want to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with your t-shirt before our team prints 5,000 of them.
We send a complementary virtual proof for all of the jobs we print. This virtual proof is a graphical representation of image placement and content. Virtual proofs are the industry standard for approving artwork that is ready for press. The one thing virtual proofs do not represent well is exact color tones. Because of variances in monitors and computers all over the world, we can not guarantee that the colors in your job are going to exactly match what is shown on your monitor.
For those concerned about matching exact colors, we recommend comparing to a physical Pantone color guide. Pantone color guides are available for reference at Cincy Apparel.
