Screen Printing in Cincinnati

Cincy Apparel can screen print on any type of garment, including t-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies, and even onesies.

We allow you to customize and personalize essentially every aspect of the final product. Our graphics department can accommodate virtually any design that you have in mind. You choose the graphics, the font, font placement, and the colors. You can choose a single printing color, or up to 8 colors. Screen printing is charged by the number of colors used.

How are my shirts screen printed?

Once your screen print design is finalized, it is disassembled and separated into the different colors you have chosen. Each color will have a separate screen. Each color is printed onto a film positive, and the design is then submitted to the screening department. The quality of screen printing is dependent on the quality of the screens used. At Cincy Apparel, we only use the highest quality screens.

The screens are coated in a light sensitive solution. The color separated positive is then attached to the coated screens and taken to be burned for printing. The screen is placed in an ultraviolet unit, which burns the design into the screen. This removes the light sensitive solution and allows the ink to come through the screen. This is a key step in achieving the best screen printing results.

We then load the press with the screens. Each ink color is poured onto the corresponding screen. The target product is then loaded into the press. Careful attention is paid to ensure that the product is straight and loaded properly. Once loaded, the screen is lowered and the ink is pulled across the product with a squeegee. Now the final product is removed and placed in the dryer. The dryer not only dries the ink, but cures and sets it as well. Once the drying process is completed, each product is inspected to ensure it meets Cincy Apparel standards.
